Smooth curves and subtle creases, or paint so glossy and deep you could sink into it. The offbeat pulsation of a lumpy cam, or hair-tingling scream of a flat-plane crank at full song. The smell of race gas, or taste of victory.
For some of us vehicles are more than a way to get from point A to point B; they elicit a visceral response, making us feel truly alive.
Perhaps your interest was sparked while pushing Hot Wheels, laying out a slot-car track, assembling plastic model cars, or sending a block of wood down the Pinewood Derby track. Maybe it grew while playing Gran Turismo, meandering through a car show, watching Barrett-Jackson, or simply stumbling across racing footage online.
It’s possible you don’t know when it started, but you sense something deeper calling.
Sound familiar?
If so, you’ve found your tribe; welcome to our cathedral.
STEAM Cathedral is an intentionally curated community of diverse gearheads who create belonging by building on our commonality.
We race, restore, and reimagine while systematically teaching youth, 15 years and up, foundational hands-on skills in motorsports, automotive restoration, and life.
As their knowledge and skills grow, so do the opportunities as we lead students through experiences that are otherwise out of their reach, resulting in self-motivated young adults who exhibit a refreshing increase in confidence, personal accountability, and self-efficacy.
