Motorsport is also big business, valued at over $10.5B1 in the global market with an increasing compound annual growth rate of 8.7%. Though plentiful, opportunities are not restricted to STEAM – science, technology, engineerings, art, and mathematics – careers; motorsports offers well-paying jobs across the globe in nearly every possible field of interest and business vertical.
At STEAM Cathedral, karting is the gateway through which students access our program offerings. Long heralded as an accessible and cost-effective entry point into the world of motorsports, karting allows us to safely begin to expand our student’s comfort zones while efficiently introducing automotive systems and establishing basic aptitude in using hand tools.
Karting 101 is a requirement for our all students, not only those who aspire to be drivers or mechanics, due to the rapid feedback loops karting enables of natural cause and effect, and because motorsports establishes empathy: both for the equipment and other team members.
